DONEAX Electronics in Shenzhen is developing an automated robot that will use ultraviolet (UV-C) to disinfect high-contact, high-flow areas. The company plans to provide UV robots to hotel, education, corporate, retail, restaurant and transportation customers in the United States in early 2021.
We hope that DONEAX’s first UV propagation robot will reassure our customers and their customers. “Whether it is hotel guests, classroom students or customers of restaurants and other companies, they can rest assured that DONEAX’s autonomous UV robots will help reduce their exposure to harmful bacteria.”
DONEAX’s new robot will be officially unveiled at Digital CES 2021 in January and is expected to achieve new hygiene standards by helping to disinfect high-contact, high-traffic areas. Thanks to its autonomous design, the robot will be able to easily move around tables, chairs and other furniture, usually irradiating the touchable surface of the room within 15 to 30 minutes. The robot should be able to disinfect multiple areas after a single charge.
Its design is easy to operate and can be integrated into established cleaning procedures without the need for a large number of personnel training or experts to operate. Staff will be able to monitor progress by remotely updating their mobile phones or tablets. A built-in safety lock activated by a thermal sensor, pressing the emergency stop button or through a mobile app can minimize the risk of employees being exposed to ultraviolet rays.
In the new non-contact economy, higher levels of disinfection will become new customer expectations, where all of us live, work, study and play. DONEAX will use its robotics Technology, artificial intelligence and self-driving car expertise to provide innovative solutions such as these to meet specific customer requirements.
